The Information Security Forum (ISF) is a UK-based, independent, not-for-profit organisation supported by a Membership comprising of many of the world’s leading organisations featured on the Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000 lists. We provide expert guidance to overcome the wide ranging cyber, information security and risk management challenges which impact business around the world.
The ISF is guided by Members and governed by an elected Advisory Board following a shared constitution for collective benefit. Members benefit from peer community, practical solutions and actionable advice, research, and tools to achieve better cyber security for their organisation.
About the role
We are seeking an outgoing and engaging Contractor Account Manager with 1-2 years of account management experience. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new Member accounts and retain the custom of existing Members through outstanding account management and communication skills. You will be required to speak to members and engage with them to uncover and prioritise their key challenges and present how ISF resources can be aligned to support their needs. Where necessary, you will facilitate meetings with other ISF colleagues and subject matter experts. You will also be expected to identify where there may be opportunity for ISF Consulting services and to support the creation of tools that can be used to improve the usage of ISF Membership.
While the role is primarily based in the Faro area, candidates from other locations within Portugal will also be considered. The position is remote however, travel will be required for meetings in Portugal, the ISF London office or Member locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Actively carrying out calls with Members to keep in touch and participate in meetings (generally online) to ensure that you are providing an outstanding level of service.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure that all customer engagement is coordinated appropriately.
• Accurately maintaining all details on the Salesforce customer records database.
• Dealing with any complaints effectively, whilst ensuring that an effective resolution is found.
• Learning about the company’s specialist products to ensure Members are making full use of all the ISF services available.
• Provide excellent service to maintain positive reputation of the business.
• Participate in one-on-one meetings with Members to explain services to guide their choices.
• Understand the problems and challenges of Members and identify ways the business could better address those needs.
• Responsible for maintaining the security of ISF Information assets, as directed by the Information Security Policy, associated policies and the security education, training, and awareness programme.

You will excel at fostering long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with both our Members and the broader ISF team.

• Willingness to develop an in-depth understanding of the business and related services.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Outgoing and customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to travel to the UK and internationally, approximately 25% of the total time.
Desirable requirements and skills
• Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
• Second language to English would be a plus.
• Knowledge of Cyber Security or Information Security would be beneficial although full and ongoing self-managed training resources will be provided.
