Food Production Manager – Evora

Our client specializes in importing and processing natural products from Brazil. As part of the development in Portugal, our client is seeking a Food Production Manager for Mora site.

Location: Mora, Portugal (people who live outside Mora will get a transportation allowance)
Contract Type: Permanent Contract

Responsibilities:
• Plan and organize daily production across different processing lines
• Optimize production flows and cycle times
• Monitor yields and production rates
• Lead and coordinate the production team
• Train staff in manufacturing procedures
• Organize task distribution and establish schedules
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
• Implement and monitor quality procedures
• Manage quality documentation
• Participate in internal and external quality audits
• Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Basic technical Maintenance
• Monitor and analyze production KPIs

Education:
• Engineering degree or equivalent in Food Science/Process Engineering
• Food Safety and HACCP certification
• Industrial maintenance training (a plus)

Experience:
• Ideally 5 years’ experience in the food industry
• Significant team management experience
• Experience in natural products processing (a plus)
• Mastery of grinding and sieving processes
• Industrial maintenance knowledge
• Proficiency in production management software
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Languages:
– Portuguese (mandatory)
– English and/or French (a plus)

Hours and Organization:
• 40-hour work week
• Day shifts
• Occasional evening/weekend availability based on production needs
