We are seeking a skilled Firmware / Embedded System Engineer to join our dynamic development team. Please note that this is an on-site position – remote work is not an option. We are based in Madeira and are looking for someone who is either already living on this stunning island or willing to move here.
Your Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain firmware for microcontroller-based electronic systems, including designing and implementing algorithms.
– Create technical documentation detailing firmware usage and oversee the entire firmware development process from concept to delivery.
– Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including software, hardware, system testing, manufacturing, and testing systems.
– Define and establish firmware requirements and architecture.
– Support the integration and system testing phases.
– Manage version control using Git and ensure firmware updates meet company needs.
– Provide ongoing support and updates for firmware, making necessary alterations as required.
Requirements:
– A completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
– Experience with embedded software for microcontroller systems.
– Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work closely with System Engineering, Hardware, and Software teams.
– Expertise in firmware architecture, requirements development, and familiarity with Git for version control.
– Enthusiasm for working on-site in a collaborative environment.
